Thomas H. Midanek has over a decade of experience leading campaigns and winning tough elections, from the State House to The White House. 

Midanek was a key player in the 2016 and 2024 Donald J. Trump Presidential campaigns, managing political operations in six battleground states in 2016, and serving as a Senior Strategist and directing the state of Michigan in 2024. Midanek served on the 2016 Presidential Transition Team, playing a pivotal role in the personnel decisions of The Executive Branch. He then served as Regional Political Director in the White House Office of Political Affairs.
 

Midanek is now a top media consultant on political campaigns and causes as a Partner at Margin Media Group, advising on political and media strategies. His ability to understand the strengths of his clients and evolving media landscapes enables them to run the bespoke campaigns that win in the toughest environments.

A widely respected national campaign strategist, Tim Garon has amassed an impressive record winning tough races across the country. His breadth of experience is unmatched, having counseled candidates and elected officials in all 50 states. Additionally, Tim has led successful advertising campaigns for several SuperPACs and GOP organizations.

Over the last decade, Garon has served as media consultant to candidates for Governor, U.S. Senate, U.S. House, Attorney General, and national Republican organizations. His ads have helped secure Republican majorities at the state legislative level in seven states. In 2014, Tim was part of the team that captured the U.S. Senate majority, overseeing several competitive states for the National Republican Senatorial Committee (NRSC), and again serving as a consultant in 2016 when Republicans held the majority.

Tim previously played a crucial role in House Republicans’ historic takeover in 2010, serving as a Regional Political Director at the National Republican Congressional Committee (NRCC). Politico noted that “Garon oversaw 19 GOP pickups across 11 states for the NRCC last year,” having a major role in candidate recruitment and campaign fundraising, research, media strategy, and messaging, drawing wide praise.

A native of Northern Virginia, Tim served as Political Director for the Republican Party of Virginia in 2005. A frequent guest speaker at political trainings and panels, Tim graduated from Vanderbilt University and lives in Arlington, VA with his wife and two children.
